Dev Blog 7: Audio Team and Implementation Ahoy!

Hello everyone! This is Nickolas Xiong again here with more information about audio. We have established contact with a team of audio designers at Berklee college of music and have started collaborating with them. This team consists of Noah, El, Moshe and Luxe. So far, they have provided four sample music tracks to help us identify and communicate our goals with this project.






As we continue working along with the game, we cannot forget the importance of implementing these amazing pieces now! After discussing with Berklee, audio will be incorporated utilizing Wwise. Wwise is a pipeline for handling sound as well as producing. While the Berklee team will be working primarily on composing our music and sound effects, I will end up being the one to hook up their work to events and actions that occur in the game.


With a change in audio implementation, that means some of the previous work I did will not be utilized. However, some aspects might carry over. As I start interacting with Wwise and learn more about how it works, I expect it will be a fun task.


All these pieces are phenomenal in their own way. While these are only samples for now, we expect to see great things from our audio team at Berklee!
